DECEMBER
Foothill Animal Hospital is proud to feature “Jack” Castillo as our December “pet of the Month.” Jack is a 10 year old Jack Russell Terrier and has been a wonderful patient of our since 2007. A few weeks ago, “Jack’s” owner called to let us know that he had been injured while playing in the yard. He wasn’t sure exactly what happened, but when he brought “Jack” in a few minutes later. It was obvious that he had been bitten by something. Poor little “Jack” had several puncture wounds on the back of his neck and a good sized laceration near his jugular. Mr. & Mrs. Castillo approved any and all treatment necessary to make sure “Jack” would be ok, and he was rushed into emergency surgery. Dr. Reagan carefully repaired all of his wounds and made sure he was as comfortable as possible while he recovered. “Jack” was so well behaved while we were prepping him for surgery. He acted like there was nothing wrong) even though his wounds must have been quite painful). He was also a model patient during his recovery at home…He didn’t scratch or fuss with his drain or sutures at all. We are happy to report that “Jack” is now 100% recovered from his injuries and is spending the holidays with his “Mom” and “Dad” who love him very much. Thank you to “Jack and his family for being such troopers!
