FEBRUARY
Foothill Animal Hospital is proud to feature “Tony Stripes” as our February “Pet of the Month.” “Tony” is a 3-4 month old kitten that came to us with a severe limp. “Tony’s” owner was unsure how he injured himself as she had only had him a couple weeks and he’d been indoors the entire time. After taking X-rays, it was determined that “Tony’s” right hind leg was fractured in several places. Dr. Reagan recommended transfer to an orthopedic specialist for surgical correction and possible amputation immediately. Unfortunately, “Tony’s” “Mommy” could not afford either of the expensive procedures and made the difficult decision to relinquish his care to Dr. Reagan. With the help of a friend in the field, Dr. Reagan soon had “Tony’s” leg repaired and he is now recovering nicely. Since his stay with Dr. Reagan, “Tony” has proven to be a very sweet kitten, and though he doesn’t much care for his bandage changes, he rarely complains about his tough situation. Once healed, Dr. Regan will be looking for a new “forever” home for “Tony Stripes” as he already has two young children, two cats, and a dog. Thank you “Tony” for being such a little trooper, and special thanks to Dr. Reagan for saving his life.
